Francois – Frank – was born in Montreal and grew up just east of the island in Repentigny. He now lives in the Eastern Townships near Bromont. Frank is an adrenaline junkie and enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, hunting and, according to Bruno, talking to his girlfriend Bénédicte three hours a day. Frank played soccer and competed in track and field growing up. He started cycling when he was 10. He excelled in cycling as a cadet and junior and has been on the Canadian national team for 12 years. He spent six years in Europe as an amateur and professional – on team Slipstream – before returning to Canada to race for SpiderTech (then Planet Energy) in 2008.
