David was born and grew up in the Saguenay- Lac Saint Jean region of northern Quebec. He started figure skating at 4 years old. Figure Skating was his mother’s passion. Shortly after David stopped skating at 15yrs old, he started road cycling. Dave’s father was a competitive cyclist – so he shares both his parent’s sporting passions. Dave says when he started cycling “I was really bad. I got dropped pretty much every race my first year because I could not clip into my pedals”. Dave did specific training twice a week to learn how to clip-in better. Now it’s not a problem and he’s one of Canada’s most promising young riders. When he’s back home in Quebec City and not cycling Dave has an obsessive interest in cars – his car in particular.
