Established in fall 2007, Cycle Sport Management Inc. is the corporate entity responsible for the management of Team SpiderTech Powered by Planet Energy, the only UCI Continental road cycling team of Canada
Steve Bauer and Josée Larocque are the principal partners with a vision and goal emphasising the development of talented Canadian cyclists to their maximum athletic potential within a Canadian based professional team.
In the first three years the team has built depth, infrastructure, and a quality international race program for the athletes.
The long term goal for the team is to compete on the Pro Tour cycling circuit and the Tour de France.
Cycle Sport Management Inc. (CSMI) is responsible for all general management, race program, sponsorships and partnerships, athlete recruitment, media relations and communications.
CSMI is committed to ensure all levels of the Team program to be conducted with the highest level of professionalism.
The short term aim of CSMI is to acquire a UCI Professional Continental license in 2011.
