It was tough day: Hilly, windy, breaks, echelons, and some rain…
Charly had the first bad luck. He crashed without damage, punctured and off the back with a dropped group all day. The rest of the boys fared pretty good, but some were hurting. Eric was the first to get in trouble and was dropped. Then the peloton split at 60km to go with the winning break going away. We missed the break and our boys needed to chase the main chase group for a while.
Andrew Hunt and Joël paid the price and were dropped on the tough final ascent (uphill finish.) We rejoined the front chase group then Keir punctured at 5 km to go and regained the group, but cracked. Batty was our best, finishing in main bunch at 2:40. The break of 15 took 1:45 on the best of the bunch.
